What's lifestyle tails all about?

Pure and simply... people and their dogs.

It's high time there is a website dedicated to people and their pups, giving us all a glimpse into their lives together. After all, owning a dog is like having a child, only they don't moan, don't ask for money, don't need new clothes every three weeks and generally cost a LOT less to 'run'.

The one common thing we've heard along our travels, meeting all the amazing people featured on the site, is that life would not be the same without their four legged friend(s). It's this unconditional, indescribable, incomprehensible love and bond between human and dog that we wanted to convey in the pictures and interviews.

We've been fortunate enough to be let into the homes of these people, much to the chagrin of a few of the dogs ('This is MY territory!'), to capture just a slice of their relationships. And what you witness here is some of that magic.

But don't think for a minute this site is solely for dog lovers. We ask each person to give their best career advice - and we've interviewed everyone from professional bloggers to magazine editors, and from bespoke bicycle makers to veterinary nurses - plus we show off their quirky and individual houses for added inspiration.

You'll find new, established and interesting dog and pet brands, from bespoke collars to fancy beds, and some shopping suggestions for yourself too! Expect new features on site every week, and look out for our travel section where we'll be reviewing some of the UK's best dog-friendly hotels, coming soon.

We hope you enjoy the site as much as we have bringing it to life!

about the editor, simon glazin

I've been a journalist for nearly a decade, and have run my own fashion blog, www.theverysimong.com, for just over seven years now. I've had highs and lows in my career, just like everyone else, and I have to say, I love what I do. It's not a job you do if you don't have a passion for it. I've written great features, and some I'd like to forget, the same with blog posts. I've been to lots of brilliant events, interviewed and met some amazing people and even presented on TV and radio - something I never dreamed I'd do in my lifetime.

But you know when you get something in your head, and it won't go away until you do something about it? That's how Lifestyle Tails happened. I know so many amazing, stylish, cool people with dogs, and I wanted to show them off!

My little sausage dog, Dhillon, is just over six-years-old now. I picked him up when he was 10 weeks old. He fit into the palm of my hand. And the Louis Vuitton dog bag I had ready for his arrival.

He comes everywhere with me. In fact, when he was five months old he came to the Chanel press office on an appointment with me and quickly found a bag handle to chew. Suffice to say, it was the last time I was invited there. Oh well.

He's an amazing animal: clever, funny, loyal, a great listener. But more than anything, he inspired me to create Lifestyle Tails. I don't have any children yet, but I imagine the mutual feeling Dhillon and I have for a each other is what it's like between child and parent.

I've had a blast meeting all these people, and hearing their stories, and it has firmed up something in my head... I want one of EVERY breed of dog in my life!

Enjoy!
